We are building a breakthrough platform that can ingest, model and analyze massive flow of machine generated security data using cutting edge machine learning algorithms and massively scalable big data platforms.
We are seeking to add a VP of engineering to our executive leadership team.
Who we want We are looking for a strong, solution-oriented VP of Engineering who can provide technical leadership to a fast paced engineering team.
Our team is building an enterprise class product that uses open source software like Hadoop, H Base etc.
, and deals with large amounts of data with numerous access patterns (search, analytics, aggregations).
What You Will Be Doing – You will be a key member of the leadership team, helping us shape the capabilities of the product.
– You will manage all aspects of software development life-cycle -from software architecture, specifications of design, coding, testing and maintenance.
– You are hands-on with code troubleshooting, code review as well as lead your team of developers by example.
– You will build and nurture the software development team to embrace innovation, creativity, quality and delivery.
– You will instill test driven development, automated build, continuous integration and release management best practices.
What You Need for this Position 10+ years of experience as an engineering leader having delivered products to market.
Proven, hands-on experience in full-cycle software development for high volume, scalable distributed computing systems.
Expertise and experience in one of more of the following languages Java, Python, CC++ Demonstrated experience with distributed compute platforms such as Hadoop etc.
, Good understanding and working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
Top-notch people and leadership skills, with the natural capability to command respect from development and engineering teams.
Nice to have Direct experience developing, engineering and delivering enterprise security products.
