Warner Bros. Studio Facilities seeks a Runner for the Post Production Services- NY.
This Studio Assistant/Runner role provides a high standard of service and support, for all members of staff and clients at Warner Bros.,
ensuring
extraordinary front of house service. While the first priority for this role is client service, there will be opportunities for the successful candidate to develop audio post-production technical and craft skills.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- First point of contact on behalf of Warner Bros. Sound for all clients, providing kind, courteous, friendly and patient service at all times to clients and staff.
- Update and complete all daily tasks as listed.
- Substitute in reception when required.
- Provide the stages with food and refreshments when required.
- Run any errands requested such as delivering packages, buying food and drink outside Warner Bros. Sound Department and keeping an accurate record and receipts of all amounts purchased and for whom.
- Ensuring cleanliness and professional presentation of the studios, the reception, bar areas at all times.
- Assisting Receptionist with logistics responsibilities, ensuring all packages follow correct dispatch procedures in a timely fashion.
- Produce any daily report sheets if required and produce a personal weekly timesheet.
- Liaise with operational, managerial and financial staff to ensure the seamless delivery of services.
- Prioritise tasks and keep information regarding their completion current. Share task updates with other staff.
- Answer or redirect general queries.
- Adhere to the Health and Safety policy.
- Follow the staff schedule attending shifts when requested.
- To help with office and equipment moves as required.
- Assist in maintenance duties when required – for example occasional snow removal from side walk/entry ramp.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Attention to detail and ability to effectively communicate and obtain direction is critical.
- Maintaining absolute discretion and confidentiality is crucial to this role.
- Strong soft skills – being able to communicate effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels, both on the telephone and in person is essential.
- A strong interest is film and television post-production sound mixing a major plus.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Windows and MAC OS is vital.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite is essential.
- At short notice must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime, if & when necessary.
- Must have ability to communicate effectively & tactfully with all levels of personnel & with guests (in person, telephone, written).
- Must have ability to work well under time constraints in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to organize & schedule work effectively.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
- High School diploma required. Degree in related field preferred.
- Will require mobility to run errands across New York City and moderate lifting
- Audio postproduction technical skills preferred.
