Job Title - Home Care Support Worker
Salary – £16,271-£19,268 + this post attracts enhancements for unsocial hours and a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £942 and a maximum payment of £1,632 per annum (pro rata where applicable). Pay Band 3
Hours – Full and part time applications considered. Flexible duties to include day care, overnight care (10.00 pm to 7.00 am) seven days per week
Location – Peace Children’s Centre, Watford, but working across West Hertfordshire

The West Hertfordshire Children’s Continuing Care Team are seeking to appoint Home Care Support Workers to provide clinical care to a small group of children who have complex health care needs in their own homes. Previous experience working with children is desirable and a minimum of NVQ level 2 health and social care or equivalent is required. Key attributes that we will be looking for in successful candidates are enthusiasm, reliability, willingness to learn and a commitment to providing the highest possible standards of care to children and their families.
A comprehensive induction and training programme will be provided to successful applicants. The training programme will be coordinated by our highly qualified Registered Children’s Nurses supported by members of our experienced Home Care Support Worker Team.
Our service provides care to children throughout the 24 hour day and candidates will be expected to work flexibly to include mornings, evenings and night duty.
A full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
