Responsibilties:
An experienced and talented Linux Software Development Engineer with strong programming skills in Linux userspace and drivers as well as a strong focus in tools, packaging, and release engineering. The candidate should have substantial C programming experience as well as mastery of Linux development tools (build systems, make, software packaging, and version control systems). Key responsibilities will be to make systematic improvements in release packaging systems, develop packaging and release automation systems, work across teams to improve code modularity, and introduce and evangelize software analysis tools.
Requirements:
- At least a BS degree with 6 years of experience or a MS with 4 years of experience
- C programming skills sufficient to lead in portable and safe programming techniques
- Demonstrated proficiency with Linux kernel and userspace development
- Demonstrated proficiency with Linux kernel build tools
- Demonstrated proficiency with common opensource build/packaging systems
- Strong Linux administration skills
