Major Purpose: The Transload Operator’s primary responsibility is to safely and timely load and unload LPG trucks within the customer’s facility using fixed and mobile racks. It is expected that the Transload Operator will have the ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies. The Transload Operator’s will be expected to deliver “worry-free consistency” to our customer by delivering the S7 System. The Transload Operator will report directly to the onsite supervisor and assist in the necessary business processes as directed.
Work Schedule will be 4 days on and 4 days off 12 hours Shifts, Rotating every month from Days to nights and nights to days. Day Shift 5am-5pm or Night Shift 5pm-5am.
Responsibilities
- The position of LPG Transload Operator is responsible for the daily inspections of trucks, and
equipment to ensure safe conditions and operation. Truck transfer preparation,
including installing bolt-on/bolt-off fittings, making hose connection, and
taking product samples.
- Ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies, precisely
- Ability to operate or learn to operate loading systems. Conduct numerous transfers from tank to
tank trucks each day.
- Ability to work safely and productively
- Ability and interested in being cross trained on all functions at facility
- Strong work ethic
- Keeps work area clean
- Is not afraid to ask questions
- Can accurately fill out all necessary paperwork
- Enforces safety policies and procedures with other employees and visitors
- Ability to perform general maintenance on equipment
- Interact and communicate with other team members and truck drivers.
Qualifications
- Read, write, and understand English
- Basic math skills
- Computer skills (light data entry)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Capable to learn how to operate Truck/trans loading equipment (e.g., Hoses,
piping systems, transfer pumps, portable stair systems, small to medium sized
equipment, etc.)
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Willing to receive hazardous material handling training & general safety
training
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Can carry at least fifty (50) pounds
- In good physical condition (able to walk several miles per shift)
