Chemonics seeks a manager for our Executive Office Project Management Unit (EO PMU). The EO PMU oversees Executive Division operations, coordinates Executive Management Team (EMT) weekly meetings and retreats, supports Chemonics’ Board of Directors as assistant corporate secretary, manages industry outreach efforts, and assists with corporate communications and special initiatives. The manager will work closely with the president and CEO, executive vice presidents, chief financial officer, the EMT, and Chemonics’ Board of Directors.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the executive office
- Supervise and promote professional development of EO PMU staff
- Serves as a liaison between the Executive Office and the company’s regional business units and support divisions
- Write and develop corporate communications
- Serve on the Board of Directors as the assistant corporate secretary
Coordinate the company’s annual strategy, mid-year review, and budget retreats, and Board meetingsQualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
Minimum three years of relevant work experience
Strong oral and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work both independently and in a team
Flexibility, good judgment, and multi-project ability; demonstrated ability to work under pressure
Strong writing skills
- Proven ability to maintain complete confidentiality
- Knowledge of company’s main client USAID and its operations
- Ability to solve complex technical, managerial, or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant information, resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills; ability to lead effective meetings
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluency in a foreign language preferred
