We are looking for a talented hardware engineer with enthusiasm for hardware design and debug, to work in our extremely strong technical team. Experience of developing hardware systems specializing in power management, handling all aspects of design including schematic capture, PCB layout and system verification. We are looking for a flexible and highly motivated individual who is keen to make a contribution.


The team you will join is responsible for the development of systems to be used for customer reference, industry compliance testing and internal SoC characterization. This includes system specification, system design and verification as well as providing feedback to SoC development teams and other system design teams across the entire corporation. We will support you in continuous learning and development, and you will get to see your ideas go from concept to production. You will be based in Santa Clara, CA and work closely with the team there as well as with several design teams located around the world.


The primary responsibilities of this role are to work on several of the following areas:






  • Specify and design hardware systems specializing in power management for chip verification. Involves schematic capture, PCB layout and design verification.


  • Support chip design.  Involves chip routing study, system verification, production support, customer support.




We are looking for applications from engineers who meet the following requirements.



Must have:






  • Experience in design and test of power managment systems.  This includes:
    • ​DC-DC Buck Converters


    • Load Switches


    • LDO Regulators


    • Linear Battery Charger


    • Buck-Boost Converter


    • ADC


    • PMU state machine



  • Strong hardware engineering skills demonstrated through working on hardware projects in multi-person teams.


  • Working knowledge of hardware design tools preferably Cadence schematic capture and Cadence PCB layout.


  • Excellent communication skills




Desirable to have:






  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. bash, Perl, Python).


  • Some firmware design experience.


  • Experience with NI LabView for automated test support.
