Description


Revolution Prep, the nation’s best and most innovative tutoring firm is seeking several driven, high energy, smart, entrepreneurial and sophisticated sales consultants in a variety of locations. Sales representatives are primarily responsible for generating sales of tutoring programs, to be delivered by our faculty of amazing salaried tutors.

The most effective sales consultants tend to be highly educated members of highly educated and typically affluent communities where education is deeply valued. They may have children in the local private school system, and they typically have a background in high end/luxury sales. At Revolution, we pride ourselves foremost on the quality of our tutors, but also on the quality of our sales and customer service processes. The first prerequisite for our tutors is a genuine interest in the wellbeing of our students, and the same goes for our sales consultants.


Position Requirements


At Revolution, our sales representatives have the title of Academic Advisor to reflect that their primary mission is to be a trusted resource to the community. We provide extensive training on how to advise parents on the nuances of standardized testing and academic growth, and we have a deep set of resources at your disposal. Ultimately, our Academic Advisors are experts in their field, and it is through the expression of this expertise that our Academic Advisors build relationships with connectors in their community from school personnel to sports team leaders to country clubs or religious groups.

Academic Advisors are expected to generate their own leads and, through a highly consultative process, help families learn what types of support would be most appropriate for their children. Advisors are responsible for the sales and ongoing customer service needs of their clients.

Of course, the most effective Academic Advisors are very comfortable with generating proposals and closing sales . Programs range in price from $299 up to several thousand dollars.

Academic Advisors will have a great deal of discretion over their schedules, but can expect to work between 30 – 40 hours per week depending on the time of year. Advisors are field based, so their typical days will be spent on the phone talking to potential and current clients, meeting potential clients for coffee, etc., and giving presentations to groups small and large.


Specific responsibilities include:
Acting as an expert to consult families on the college readiness process via phone and in person consultations

Developing a book of business and closing leads

Building a sales pipeline by creating relationships with families

Identifying opportunities to influence brand recognition beyond current client base

Retain clients by listening to customer challenges and proposing practical solutions

Ideal candidates are forward-thinking problem solvers with a proactive work ethic and the ability to take initiative. A cover explicitly stating new ideas or connections that would lead to week 1 sales is highly encouraged for this position.

Requirements & Specifications

BS, BA Required, Advanced degree preferred

Highly selective undergraduate or graduate institution preferred

Several years consultative sales experience

Superior presentation skills

Highly professional and presentable

Strong relationships in affluent communities (country clubs, private schools, activities, nonprofits, etc) A broad network of successful, education-oriented parents

Strong written and verbal communication with a high attention to detail

Friendly, attentive and responsible


Compensation

$60K Base salary + aggressive commission structure- strong performers earn $100k+.
