Join a team of highly talented engineers developing PON and DSL technologies related to Telco broadband voice, video and data services for the #1 market leader in Customer Premises Equipment. You will be developing systems software for the most advanced xDSL/PON CPE solutions. In this highly visible role, you will have the opportunity to own networking systems software development and to work with customers to drive new features into next generation products.
Responsibilities:
– Develop system software at all levels (kernel drivers, applications, management software, web user interface, etc) for the DSL/PON CPE (Router/Gateway/ONT) products
– Develop, integrate, maintain Ethernet Switch/Phy/MAC Drivers
– Interact with customers to understand new feature requirements, reproduce software issues, provide fixes, and enable customer designs to move into production
– Support chip/product development with system level design, verification and software development
The successful candidate will be “hands on” with the ability to understand complex Hardware & Software systems while working independently on multiple projects in parallel, dealing with constant change and priority interrupts.
Requirements:
– BSEE/CS with 15+ or MSEE/CS with 12+ years of relevant experience
– Software experience with strong C/C++ coding skills is essential
– Extensive experience with Linux embedded SoC software development
– Strong knowledge of Linux networking, kernel driver development experience in multi-threaded environments
– Good knowledge of TCP/IP based networking architecture
– Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills
– Ability to work and thrive in a dynamic, leading edge environment
Preferred:
– Experience with ARM CPUs
– Working experience with DSL/PON products is a plus
– Exposure to Broadband xDSL/PON standards and TRs is a plus
