Check-In Receptionist - Safe Harbor Behavioral Health of UPMC Hamot - Erie, PA


SUMMARY:
The Front Desk Support position will assume primary responsibility for all check-in receptionist functions regarding the efficient operations of Safe Harbor Behavioral Health (SHBH).


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs all Front Desk reception duties, including but not limited to:


  • Checking in all clients

  • Collects any insurance co-pays and logs that payment into client record.

  • Telephones

  • Reschedules appointments per phone calls (clients cancelling current appointments, etc.)

  • Check-out, reschedule doctor’s appointments as clients are leaving.

  • Receives all incoming mail/packages/paperwork

  • Assists client with paperwork and/or Authorizations to Release Information

  • Receives all lab results, stamps with date received and forwards to appropriate staff.

  • Coordinates Prescription Pick-up

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of one year of work experience, preferably with direct public contact; must speak clearly and distinctly and demonstrate the maturity and judgment necessary to tactfully, effectively, and confidentially handle sensitive or emergency situations.
