CMMB is seeking a seasoned Online Marketing and Fundraising Specialist to initiate and execute fundraising campaigns and appeals to expand our base of support. The Specialist will be a strong frontline fundraiser, and will be responsible for individual online fundraising, developing strategies and overseeing implementation, and conducting targeted outreach, cultivation and stewardship to increase revenue, including campaigns and appeals.


Key Responsibilities


· Design and execute individual online donor programs, including on-line appeals


· Write, edit, proof and distribute email action alerts and fundraising appeals.


· Create online action alerts, web content and other materials needed to implement digital fundraising campaigns


· Develop and implement coordinated strategies and messaging for online communications across multiple channels to grow our list of online and offline supporters.


· Manage day-to-day activities related to acquiring, renewing, and upgrading individual online donors


· Help manage organizational list growth and online donor acquisition


· Solicit, engage, and design cultivation strategies for prospects and current donors


· Develop and implement annual fundraising strategies including renewal, acquisition and upgrade campaigns


· Analyze donor performance across segments to identify growth potential.


· Develop and oversee prospecting efforts with individual donors to ensure a robust pipeline of prospective major donors


· Recommend enhancements, test options, and modifications and/or new incentives as appropriate; appropriate messaging, look, and timing of online appeals and other channel outreach


  • Collaborate with consultants, SVP of Strategy and Innovation, and Direct of Donor Engagement on the creation, implementation and monitoring of the direct marketing annual plan and budget

Qualifications and Requirements


· 3+ years of experience in email marketing and online fundraising at a non-profit organization.


· Strong knowledge of best practices for non-profit online marketing, including email messaging, online advocacy, and online fundraising


· A working understanding of individual giving fundraising strategies and campaigns.


· Experience in CRM tools and email marketing software such as SalesForce and MailChimp/Constant Contact.


· Basic knowledge of HTML, Adobe design suite, graphic design concepts, and video production.


· Excellent writing skills and experience developing event collateral, including written and electronic solicitations, sponsorship decks, etc.


· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and communicate professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization.


· Proven capacity to apply independent judgment in planning, prioritizing, and organizing multiple tasks in a diversified work load.


· Comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment.


· Bachelor"s degree required.


· Experience managing vendor relationships (designers, printers, mail houses, A/V, and event venues).


· Familiarity with WordPress websites a plus
