Position Summary: Receive incoming telephone calls in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner and greet and check-in /check-out patients in the same manner, coordinate patient appointments, collect daily cash/check/credit card patient payments, and coordinate all lab/radiology/dictation interfaces for general surgery, family practice, ob/gyn, orthopedics and urgent care. Obtain precertification/authorization for in-office procedures and out-patient studies. Requirements: Licensure: N/A Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Two years of experience in customer service or reception, preferably in a health care environment. Computer skills and working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Windows and Office applications. |
