United States of America: Washington, DC Advocacy Officer

Organization: Malaria No More

Country: United States of America

Closing date: 05 Oct 2015

With offices in Washington D.C., New York, and Seattle, and affiliates in London and Tokyo, Malaria No More is seeking an energetic, creative and driven Advocacy Officer in our Washington, D.C. office, to support our global policy and advocacy team.

ABOUT MALARIA NO MORE

Malaria No More is determined to end deaths from malaria, a disease that kills a child every 60 seconds. We’re helping the world get it done by engaging leaders, rallying the public, developing innovative new approaches and delivering life-saving tools and education to families across Africa. Founded in 2006 by business leaders Ray Chambers and Peter Chernin, Malaria No More is working to create a world in which no one dies from a mosquito bite.

Despite tremendous progress in the fight against malaria (e.g. global funding has increased 1000% to more than $3 billion per year and the rate of child malaria deaths in Africa has declined by 58% since 2000), our work is far from done. Malaria remains one of the top child killers on the planet and we need more resources, greater global collaboration, and dedicated malaria community stakeholders and top-notch employees at Malaria No More to end this disease forever.
