YouthBuild MS Delta MACE is seeking to fill the following positions in Washington and Sunflower County:

GED Instructor
Construction Supervisor
Construction Trainer
Case Manager
PROGRAM COORDINATOR : Program Coordinator is responsible for developing and managing individualized training and employment plans for program participants; to refer program participants to a variety of community resources that can help lower their barriers to succeed and graduate from the program and become employable, and develop employment opportunities suitable to the interest and skills of program graduates.
Qualifications : B.S. OR B.S. Desirable in Social Work or related work experience, demonstrated ability and experience in case management, communicate well in writing, understand, adhere to and articulate appropriate boundaries between students and staff, prepare reports, forms, plans, and agreements in an accurate and timely manner, input, access and analyze data using a computer.
GED INSTRUCTOR : Must be able to work as part of a team and with students ages 16-24 in a non-traditional setting.
Responsible for teaching basic skills to students with varying academic levels.
Successful candidate will teach math skills and GED preparation including Reading, Math, Social Studies, and Science.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience working with youth in a non-traditional setting ages 16-24
CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR: Manage and provide oversight of educational and construction training.
Reliable transportation, valid Mississippi driver’s license, clear driving record, and ability to drive15-passenger van. Must be at least 21. Computer proficient.
Qualifications:
Degree or certification in carpentry, industrial engineering or Career & Technical Education, or other related area is required OR At least 5 years of related experience, with emphasis in training and knowledge of construction trades, Experience and knowledge of project management
CONSTRUCTION TRAINER: Assists in the delivery of construction training. Assist construction manager in the delivery of direct services to students (individually, in small groups and in large groups) that will lead to the attainment of basic construction skills and job readiness.
CASE MANAGER/COUNSELOR: Performs general intake and eligibility of eligible candidates into the YouthBuild Program. Assists students with identifying barriers and establishing personal goals to success. Duties include maintaining detailed hard copy and Management Information System case notes, coordinate and deliver soft skills classes, introduce community resources, and coordinate other educational opportunities for the participants.
Qualifications:
Prefer Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Human Resources, or closely related field and two years successful experience in opportunity youth programs, guidance and counseling or employment and training programs.
ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK AND POSSESS A VALID MISSISSIPPI DRIVER’S LICENSE.
