Responsibilities of Position
This position provides advanced administrative support to the Neighborhood Services Director. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: office coordination; database and records management; customer service; information outreach support; proofing, processing and preparation of reports, memorandums, news releases, correspondence and City Council Reports /Bills; accounts payable and payroll; assistance with budget administration; information technology support; research, analysis and problem-resolution; developing and improving administrative procedures and systems; general administrative support; and coordinating special projects for the Director.
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; or an equivalent combination of work experience or training that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the job duties.
• Extensive professional administrative and/or secretarial experience.
• Experience working with confidential information.
• Demonstrated discretion and critical thinking skills.
• Project coordination experience.
• Ability to manage workload with a high degree of accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc).
Preferred Qualifications
• Executive management executive support experience.
• Experience managing and developing relational databases.
• High volume customer service experience.
• Experience with professional use of social media.
• Experience with web page design software.
• User experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
• Experience conducting research.
• Report preparation experience.
• Associates degree in a related field
Drug screening will be required. The annual starting salary range is $44,465 – $50,620, DOQ, plus an excellent fringe benefits package. Applications must be submitted online no later than Sunday, May 1, 2016.
