Adopt-a-Pet.com, North America’s largest non-profit pet adoption website, is seeking a temporary, part-time product associate to provide support to our newest product’s cross-functional team, and the customers we’re serving. Please note: this is a 3-month, 20 hour-per-week contract position with the potential to become permanent. This position is a mashup of customer service, very light administrative work, and product management apprenticeship. You’ll work closely with a small cross-functional team – product owner, user experience designers, and engineers – within Adopt-a-Pet.com that is working to build something brand-new to help animals.
Requirements:
You have an opportunity to make a big impact, especially if you:
- Have an interest in the area of product management or user experience design
- Are a great communicator, enthusiastic, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile to help accomplish our shared goals
- Can multi-task and don’t mind shifting your focus between helping customers and helping our product team with various administrative tasks
- Are super curious and love to ask follow-up questions of our customers in order to determine how we can better help them
- Are organized and meticulous
- Have excellent, conversational, written communication skills. It hurts your heart when you see a paragraph without sentences clearly marked by punctuation and capitalization. You have the ability to make people feel like you’re their friend, whether on the phone or via email or chat.
- Are comfortable working remotely and have a computer and a phone you can use for work.(All expenses will be covered.)
- Are savvy with technology (at least as a user)
- LOVE animals and have a passion for helping them find good homes
- Like to have FUN!
***Please note: although this is a telecommuting position, you must reside in California to qualify.
