POSITION SUMMARY
Supports the Employee Store Coordinator and assists with the customer needs within the QVC Employee Store. Support the QVC Difference in the performance of all job duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greets all customers upon arrival and thanks the customers for visiting the QVC store upon departure.
Introduces the customer to QVC Store by explaining promotions, markdowns, pricing policy and return policy.
Contributes to sales revenue through various selling techniques. Assist customers in selecting products. Probes the customers’ interests and needs.
Creates product displays and presents the merchandise in a fashion which captures the customer’s attention.
Replenishes merchandise and organizes products in a neat, orderly and visually attractive manner to maintain merchandising standards.
Contributes ideas for the overall success of the store such as displays, reducing expenses, store appearance, and operational process and policies.
Operates a cash register and conducts customers’ financial transactions including sales, returns, and exchanges.
Cleans the store, shines the jewelry display cases and doors, and dusts cabinets
Moves skids loaded with stock from warehouse to main building receiving area and then unloads cartons from the skids.
Perform other related duties as assigned by store coordinator or manager.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE (Special skills, knowledge of machines, procedures, etc.)
- Excellent communication, organizational and mathematical skills.
- Ability to operate a cash register and telephone.
- Ability to interact with all levels of customers.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience: Previous customer service, retail, visual merchandising or marketing is a definite plus.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (As required by the Americans with Disabilities Act)
· Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs, haul heavy skids, push carts and clothing racks to replenish the merchandise.
· Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
