Responsibilities:
-Maintain phone coverage and greet visitors and students, take messages, relay information and answer questions within the scope of knowledge and authority.
– Utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) for correspondence, maintaining data, reports, forms, mailings/Mail Merge. Edit work for accuracy, format, spelling, punctuation, and construction. Assure timely completion of all material.
-Organize and maintain a filing systems for internal student records and other office records assuring rapid retrieval of all materials.
– Use Quinnipiac’s Datatel system and procurement policies fully and effectively, to process student information, requisitions and expense reports, grant accounts and student record keeping.
-Schedule and maintain electronic calendar and university event management system for the School of Business.
-Review and route incoming mail for appropriate distribution and action.
-Assist with the organization, preparation, and ordering for receptions, information sessions, open houses, and other university and School of Business events.
– Supervise and coordinate schedules for student workers.
-Maintain office supply inventory and order supplies as needed.
– Other secretarial duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants:
Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
1 to 3 years experience working in high traffic office setting.
Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
Experience with Datatel/Colleague Advancement is preferred.
Please note this is a Grade 5 position in the Clerical & Technical Unit, hourly rate is $21.04. In addition, it requires a successful completion of both a background check and Microsoft Office skills test.
