Purpose: The Admissions and Records Associate is responsible for assisting degree-seeking applicants, providing initial determination of residency status, and maintaining student records. This employee also processes official transcript and enrollment verification requests.
Nature and Scope: The Admissions and Records Associate position is a regular full time, 12-month appointment on a schedule established by the Director of Enrollment Services. The position involves frequent handling of confidential information and records. An Admissions and Records Associate must perform quality work and accurately prioritize tasks daily. At times, the position involves completing tasks within strict deadlines, and individuals performing the job must work well under pressure.
Organizational Structure: The Admissions and Records Associate reports to the Director of Enrollment Services and will be supervised by the Associate Director of Records/Registrar.

Essential Job Functions:
• Provide information to applicants about the College and its courses and programs.
• Assist with indexing of student records using the optical imaging system.
• Assist in transcript evaluations.
• Process official transcript requests.
• Enrollment and degree verification processing and reporting.
• Provide front counter and phone support as needed.
• Specific and specialized functions of the Admissions and Records Associate position may be modified by the department director according to the current needs and structure of the Admissions and Records Department.
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• Verbal and mathematical skills sufficient to produce correspondence.
• Communicate effectively.
• Perform other duties such as the analysis of candidate credentials.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Competency with current word processing, database, and spreadsheet software packages.
• One (1) year of general office experience, especially in an educational institution or other admissions and records department.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
