Working closely with a high profile academy, I am recruiting for a progressive and highly driven Bursar to join their Senior Leadership Team for an initial 6 month contract. As part of the school’s development plans the Senior Bursar is becoming increasingly involved in overseas projects. The school is therefore seeking a Bursar to assist the Senior Bursar with the running of the UK school and to deputise during their periods abroad.
As a key member of the senior leadership, you will be responsible for driving the finance strategy in line with the vision of the academy as well as managing the HR and Facilities function. The position will head a team of non-teaching staff based at the academy and will require someone with an outstanding record of inspiring and challenging staff to innovate and improve, as well as being able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal skills.
The successful candidate will ideally hold a professional accountancy qualification or will be QBE with substantial education sector experience. You will have a working knowledge of strategic planning as well as being well versed in the operational demands of financially running an academy. This role would suit a versatile and fast paced individual who is keen to keep learning and progressing with the demands of the school.
