Project Description:


The HR Associate II reports to the Director and is an active member of the Human Resources ESC team. The HR Associate II will provide employee and Human Resources staff support in several functional areas including immigration, allowances and customer service. Inputs employee personal data into human resources information system (HRIS) database and generates reports as needed for HR staff. Serves as initial point of contact for employees with questions related to their personal employee information.


Job Summary / Responsibilities:


  • Oversees and ensures forms and system updates related to new employees, change-of- status, performance evaluations, benefits changes, separations, etc. are executed. Ensures employee data in HRIS is accurate. Able to streamline and simplify reports, and processes.

  • Manages the transfer/promotion process and allowances in Workday and handles immigration matters.

  • Collaborates with HR Partners to ensure awareness and coordination on potential employee relations issues, referring more complex questions and concerns to them as well as pointing out issues with HR policies and their interpretation.

  • Recommends and assists in the development of process improvements or changes of systems and processes to support and simplify various HR programs and practices with focus on documenting and improving ESC Processes. Independently investigates and accurately responds to Employee Service Center (ESC) requests.

  • Prepares and analyzes required reports for benefits, EEO, AA, and headcount reports; able to create custom reports for special projects. Performs analysis on assimilation/turnover data and evaluates ESC data.

  • Conducts new employee orientation to ensure employees gain an understanding of our client policies and procedures, benefits, and HRIS systems and recommends improvements.

  • Other duties as assigned and serves as back-up to team members as necessary.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other applicable major is required. PHR certification preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience providing full range of HR Generalist support.

  • Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO).

  • Knowledge of Human Resource policies, procedures and processes, visa processing and allowances.

  • Solid experienced in complete HR lifecycle for general on-boarding, performance management and off-boarding tasks.

  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities for self and manage time to achieve goals/complete projects on or ahead of due date.

  • Able to streamline and simplify reports, and processes.

  • Possesses oral and written communication skills, and can maintain confidentiality. Excellent presentation, organization & time management skills.

  • A willingness to increase knowledge and update skills as required.

  • Ability to handle oral and written communications independently. Able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of staff, individuals from diverse cultures, and the public.

  • Understands the goals and objectives of the department, and own job standards.

  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS/Payroll systems (Worday).
