Job Description
Evoqua Water Technologies LLC has an opening for a Production Worker located in Thomasville, GA.
About the Position:
Blaster / Painter position in the Clean & Coat department on 2nd shift.
Primary Responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Working safely is first and foremost.
• Prepares material for painting.
• Responsible for accurate and efficient blasting of materials for painting.
• Responsible for measuring and documenting blast profile.
• Removes completed material from the work area or calls assistance to do so.
• Meets safety and good housekeeping standards.
• Handles hazardous waste.
• Responsible for safe operation of material handling equipment (hoists).
• Responsible for general maintenance and cleaning of blast equipment.
• Must be able to clean Stainless Steel components via methods of Water blast operation.
• Must be able to efficiently perform duties of flow coating internal screw pumps
• Prepares material for painting.
• Responsible for accurate and efficient application of coatings.
• Hooks up and positions material before and after painting.
• Removes completed material from the work area.
• Maintains safe storage of paints, coatings, thinner and cleaning solutions.
• Meets safety and good housekeeping standards.
• Handles hazardous waste.
• Responsible for wet mil checks during coating process.
• Responsible for performing Dry Film Thickness (DFT) checks and recording to proper documents.
• Responsible for general cleaning and maintenance of paint equipment
• Responsible for safe operation of material handling equipment (hoists).
• Responsible for completing timesheet accurately at the end of each day.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; and two years related experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.

The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high and hearing protection is required, when needed, per our Hearing Conservation Program.
