Working for our client who manufacture low voltage electrical components (MCB’s, RCBO’s, Contractors, etc) we are looking for a Software Development and IT Support person to join the team and help in the development and expansion of IT capabilities. Covering Software Development (80% of role), carrying out Software Development for new Products; development of embedded software for the company’s next generation of new, innovative switchgear products (C, C++, C#, VB); Development of high level control system platform for the Company’s next generation of Product technology, (C, C++, C#, VB); Development of control systems for the Company’s automated test and assembly lines for manufacture of new products (C, C++, C#, VB); Development of Company’s internal operational, logistics & CRM systems (C C++, C#, VB, SQL). Network and Server Management/Maintenance (10% of role), covering Windows Server 2008; Windows Server 2012 & Hyper V; Exchange Server 2010; SQL Server 2013; IIS; Symantec Enterprise Vault (email archiving system); Symantec Endpoint Protection; VM vehicle tracking system (for sales reps); Around 30 client machines, mainly Windows 7, Windows 8.1; Network cabling and switches; Dell Sonicwall Firewalls. IT Support and Training for Personnel (10% of role): Other than companies bespoke systems, they also use MS Office, Sage 200 Accounting and Solidworks 3D Design.
