This job opening is a pool for a part-time Admissions Assistant. Current vacancies and anticipated vacancies will be hired from this pool. If an Admissions Assistant position becomes vacant and your application is in the pool, you may be contacted if your credentials meet the qualifications and requirements of the position as stated in this vacancy announcement.


Minimum Qualifications


High school diploma and two (2) years of data entry experience. Demonstrated attention to detail in completing data entry tasks. Experience entering large volumes of data and documents into a computer system by established deadlines. Demonstrated experience completing tasks on time. Experience with personal computers using Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and Outlook).


Preferred Qualifications


Data entry experience in education, business, medical or related fields. Experience in a customer service environment.

Working Hours:

a) This is a non-benefit earning part-time position in Undergraduate Admissions. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.

b) Total hours per week will be 29.

c) Limited evening hours from 5pm-8pm, depending on office needs, is an option and can be negotiated.

If the person does not work the normal 8-5 schedule in this position, please select the correct shift hours.

Knowledge and experience with general office procedures. Knowledge of and ability to use Banner student information system. Knowledge of Florida admissions rules, regulations, and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Knowledge of University programs and prerequisite requirements. Ability to review, analyze, formulate, organize, and follow through with tasks. Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility. Ability to coordinate and implement assignments in order to meet deadlines. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to operate a personal computer and use Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, and Outlook).
