Serves as first contact for prospective, former, and transfer students in person and on the telephone. Provides information to prospective new students and transfer students on procedures when applying to University (i.e., checks completed applications for correctness, gives instructions on credentials needed, informs prospective students regarding transcripts, majors available, athletics, parking, directions to University, Office of Undergraduate Admissions [ OUA ] programs, etc., information on registration, Early Program, and SOAR ). Greets walk-ins and maintains information for scheduled guests. Hands out admissions packets, major information, and Schedules of Classes. Reviews applications to insure they are complete. Assigns walk-in visitors to coordinators. Provides information to visitors on special programs available through Undergraduate Admissions Office, i.e., YSU Experiences and various College Open Houses. Logs incoming telephone calls. Prepares routine correspondence; maintains files.
