Chubb is seeking a motivated, organized, customer service oriented individual interested in a growing career within Human Resources. This role will report to the head of Employee Relations, working on a fast paced team providing coordination, functional analysis/reporting and executive level administrative support.
Description:
- Complete administrative duties and responsibilities include answering phones, responding to email, scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars, coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements, organizing conference calls and processing expenses/invoices.
- Utilize knowledge of Chubb policies and practices to respond to managers’ questions and requests in an efficient and confidential manner. The nature of the inquiries will span a variety of human resource issues such as misconduct, performance, and medical accommodation issues.
- Monitor centralized human resource mail box and assign incoming cases to an Employee Relations Specialist within defined deadlines.
- Enter employee relations case information into an employee relations case management tool and Excel log.
- Produce and analyze ER data and reports. Identify areas that require additional drill down for manager’s review.
- Provide support for Human Resource compliance management.
- Coordinate record retention for Human Resources.
- Identify employee relations cases that require immediate specialist or supervisor attention.
- Produce and analyze ER data and reports. Identify areas that require additional drill down for manager’s review.
- Conduct quality checks of information in employee relations database and provide quarterly reports for manager’s review.
- Prepare reports in preparation for manager’s audit of ER database.
- Prepare Release and Confidentiality Agreements as well as internal and external correspondence.
- Partner with General Counsel Legal Analyst to track administrative charge activity, lawsuits and internal investigations. Conduct preliminary analysis of this data to ER Direct cases.
- Support and participate in special projects/initiatives as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of related work or internship experience in an administrative or human resource role.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of internal and external contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must demonstrate a high level of initiative and ability to plan and organize complex requests.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong track record of handling multiple projects simultaneously and taking initiative to resolve issues is required.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to effectively execute and support human resource initiatives.
- Sound judgment skills with an unwavering ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality.
