Storeroom Attendant at McIntosh site - Huntsman - McIntosh, AL

Huntsman currently has an immediate opening for a dynamic individual with proven capability as a STOREROOM ATTENDANT in the McIntosh, Alabama, manufacturing facility for Huntsman Advanced Materials.

Essential responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

This position is responsible for material receiving and issue operations in the McIntosh storeroom.


Accountable for:
Ensure prompt and accurate flow of materials through the storeroom


Maintain quality of work


Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping


Control and report on inventory of all stock


Serve as a resource for internal customers


Ensure procedures are followed to maintain accurate inventory of stock and vendor consignment items


Recommend changes to stock levels to optimize stores inventory levels


General Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming material


Receive material against material receipt document


Ensure all stock and non-stock incoming material is entered in SAP computer system


Stock replenishment of material in bins/on shelves


Fill plant orders via pick list and customer walk-ins


Ensure all stock material issued is entered in SAP computer system


Inventory control (annual physical and cycle counts) – resolve discrepancies and enter counts in SAP


Prepare and process paperwork for hot work material/expedite material contacting suppliers, requisitioners and buyer


Order and maintain fuel levels for diesel, gasoline and propane


Prepare outbound shipments involving shipping paperwork, boxing, packaging, labeling and contacting carrier for pickup


Balance daily material receipt report


Order office and shipping supplies for Storeroom


File daily material receipt documents, pick list, stock sheets and other documents as required


Keep inventory separate between capital projects and storeroom material


Other storeroom duties as assigned by Storeroom Coordinator


Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.


Assists other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals.


Participates in and completes company-required training programs.


Participates in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.


Education and Work Experience Requirements:
High school or equivalent required with a minimum of three years storeroom experience.


Special Qualifications (Training, Technical skills, etc.):
Physical requirements include the ability to work in an industrial storeroom environment and be exposed to various weather conditions. Must be able to bend, stoop, lift (20 lbs. min), climb and stand for long periods of time.


Must be well organized and able to work to meet deadlines.


Requires good computer skills, including using products of Microsoft Office.


SAP ( maintenance/storeroom module ) experience a plus.


Familiarity with maintenance parts/spare parts a plus.


Must work closely with internal customers in all areas of the company.


Must work closely with manufacturers, suppliers, vendors and sales representatives.


Requires a valid Driver License and ability to operate company vehicle on and off site.
