We Are Looking For:
Someone with a keen and constant eye for detail is needed to discreetly keep our Santa Monica HQ spotless and attractive. We’d like this individual to be organized and able to follow a routine that provides regular inspection and cleaning of assigned areas. A friendly and accommodating personality is required to ensure work does not affect the enjoyment of visitors and employees. Skills in operating hand and electrical cleaning tools like dusters, brooms, mops and vacuum/carpet cleaners required.
You’re Right For This Job If You Can:
Clean and maintain all common areas on occupied floors that include spot clean on walls, carpets, hallways, windows, conference rooms, main dining areas, kitchens, dishwashers, coffee, water and Shakeology stations
Monitor and maintain all kitchen supplies, utensils, coffee, and dairy items
Clean sinks, floors and mirrors in all private restrooms and showers
Damp mop and disinfect the Fitness Room at specific times throughout the day
Maintain all conference room cleanliness at all times
Keep entryways and hallways free of dirt and debris, dust and vacuum as needed
Empty trash throughout the facility and promptly clean up floor spills or wet spots created by spills, accidents and inclement weather
Keep toilet tissue and paper hand towels in stock in common and private restrooms
Chart indicating the time each area was visited, cleaned and maintained
Work flexible hours that can include early morning, late night and weekend shifts as needed
Skills and Experience:
A clear understanding of written and spoken English is necessary to read instructions and interact with employees and visitors
Past work experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel
