With a pure digital CMOS approach and excellent performance, Broadcom’s Bluetooth® chipsets and system solutions provide the technology to make wireless personal area networking a reality. Providing radio frequency, baseband, system and complete software support to OEMs and system integrators, Broadcom’s Bluetooth chips enable the wireless sharing of data among scores of electronic devices from mobile phones and wireless stereo headsets to game controllers and automobiles.
Qualified candidates should have experience in testing platforms with co-existing radios such as Bluetooth, FM, WLAN, Wimax, GPS and Cellular radios. They will assist AE’s with platform testing and some debug when needed.
BSEE and => 1 year experience testing RF/HW boards. Strong hands on skills is desired and good working knowledge of RF test and verification equipment such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, frequency/function generators, and an understanding of audio analyzers such as the Rohde & Schwarz UPV.
Fundamentally, the role is to help AE’s do testing and some debug to bring customers to production.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for handling hardware verification and testing
- Participate in hardware initial bring up and some debugging activities for both internal and customer design is desired.
- Responsible for Bluetooth specification tests and FCC related tests
- Duplicating customer hardware issues and creating a report
Requirements:
- Familiar with MS office excel
- Comfortable with using RF test equipment
- Comfortable with performing manual and automated testing on circuit boards
- Comfortable with some set up and debug the RF test setups
- Someone interested in Bluetooth Hardware and testing
- BS or MS electrical engineering student with emphases on RF or communications
- Hands on lab equipment skills for Power supply, DVM, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer and network analyzer
- Some level of exposure to schematic and layout skills (preferred but not required)
- GPA 3.0 or better
