EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:
Learn packaging requirements for various products.
Monitor equipment for proper operation, notify Supervisor ofany problems.
Communicate and work effectively with Operator,Inspector/Case Packer and Material Handler for optimal line performance andquality.
Insert correct amount of product, by weight or link count,into packaging.
Sort inedible/rework products into the correct pan fordisposal/storage.
Maintain speed equal to, or greater than, that of co-workerswithout sacrificing quality.
Set up and operate tape and/or box machine.
Assist with disassembly, cleaning and reassembly ofequipment for product changeover and end of shift.
Must adhere to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point(HACCP) and HACCP pre-requisite programs, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP),Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure (SSOP) guidelines or Federalregulations.
Other duties assigned as required.
Qualifications: Individuals must meet requirements listed below and perform each essential functionsatisfactorily. Requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/orability necessary.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma orgeneral education degree (GED). Allpersonnel will receive HACCP, Pre-requisite program, GMP’s and SSOP programtraining prior to entering plant operations. Must be able to read scales, havebasic computer skills.
Language Skills: Able to read, analyze and interpretprocedure sheets, product labels, training and safety material provided bycompany. Must effectively communicate with co-workers and management.
Physical Demands: Stand for entire shift, reach witharms, twist torso, use hands to manipulate product on a repetitive basis. Lift25 lbs from waist to chin.
Work Environment: Characteristics described here arerepresentative of those encountered while performing essential functions ofthis job. Individuals are exposed to dry conditions, temperatures below 45degrees F and concrete floors. Noise levels are usually moderate.
