Broadcom Corporation, a market leading Wireless LAN (WLAN) company based in Sunnyvale, California, is seeking highly motivated intern to work in the applications group. The job involves developing test automation and tools for wireless LAN test and measurements. It also involves WiFi device testing and customer issue reproduction.
– Total engineering minimum experience required is typically a BS degree and 6 years of experience, an MS degree and 3 years of experience or a PhD or equivalent.
– Experience with TCL, Perl, Linux bash script, DOS batch file, and C/C++
– Experience with script programming and device driver installation on Linux and Windows
– Experience with testbed setup and test automation
– Familiar with networking protocols (DHCP, Bridging , IP Routing, TCP/UDP)
– Familiar with 802.11 protocol is a big plus
– Experience with performance testing and tools (iperf, Chariot, Veriwave)
– Experience with sniffer tools (Wireshark) for both 802.3 and 802.11 packet capturing
– Experience with media test tool (VLC)
– Experience with basic WiFi configuration (SSID and security policy) and test setup
– Experience with IPTV STB testing is a plus
– Experience with test plan and report generation (Excel, WORD, PDF, …)
– Efficient problem duplication and strong skills to analyze problem
– Quicker learner and willing to work on fast-pace environment
– Good written/verbal communication skills and a team player
