Vacancy Details
- Ongoing maintenance of purchase and nominal ledgers using Quickbooks and Document Manager.
- Paying suppliers by producing files for BACS transmission and writing cheques as necessary.
- Sending out remittances.
- Dealing with expense claims, posting to clients Work In Progress where necessary and updating any spreadsheets as required.
- Drawing cheques as required and dealing with adhoc payments including Standing Orders and credit card payments.
- Producing debt chasing letters using word and mail merge. Maintaining bad debts spreadsheet.
- Dealing with general administration, ad hoc tasks and scanning as required.
- Providing back up support to the Finance Manager on a daily basis, when required.
- Providing cover for the Finance Manager maintaining sales ledger, recurring fees, direct debits and payroll.
- To carry out such other duties as required from time to time as instructed by the Principal/Principals/Finance Manager.
The Ideal Candidate
- IT competent and be familiar with computerised packages including Quickbooks, Excel, Word.
- The ability to work on their own initiative and be flexible.
- Good communication skills.
- The ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Positive approach.
- Confidentiality.
Employment Details
- Part time hours of work: 9.30 am – 2.30 pm, Monday to Friday, with no lunch (25 hours per week).
