I am working on a great opportunity for a good client of mine. They belong to a group of hotels that prides themselves on their stunning venues fit for any celebrations. This hotel based near Hemel Hempstead is based on acres of rolling countryside and they have an opening for a receptionist.
THE ROLE:
As Receptionist, you will provide reception services for Guests to contribute to an overall exceptional experience from check-in through check-out. A Receptionist contributes to the first impressions of all Guests and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
” Meet/ greet guests in a timely manner
” Answering any quest queries as quickly as possible/ update them on progress.
” Ensure an efficient reception experience for Guests, including check in/out
” Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
” Demonstrate a knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties
” Maximize room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
” Take payments on check in/ check out
” Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
” Follow company brand standards
” Assist other departments, as necessary
” Assist the head receptionist and department heads where necessary.
THE CANDIDATE?
” Previous experience in a customer-focused industry (hotel preferably)
” Positive attitude and good communication skills
” Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
” Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
” Competent level of IT proficiency
It is important to understand that a hotel receptionist performs a very different role from a corporate receptionist and therefore previous hospitality experience would be an advantage.
