Production Control / Scheduler - Flambeau Inc. - Madison, GA





PURPOSE & EXPECTATIONS

The purpose of this position is to support the manufacturing efforts in meeting customer delivery expectations in scheduling and control job packet flow. These activities are to be properly coordinated with production control, sales, and manufacturing. These activities would include watching sales orders and creating job packets so as to meet those orders and scheduling those job packets. These activities also include control of the job packet such from creating them through closing of them. Work areas are to be maintained in a clean and efficient manner. There may be other duties and responsibilities expected that are too numerous and varied to describe in this format.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


  • Able to read and understand customer net requirement screen and mrp report in ERP.

  • Able to use Scheduling screen in ERP.

  • Able to create job packets and close job packets

  • Able to verify with warehouse associates inventory is correct before job packets are closed.

  • Able to print efficiency and labor reports for supervisors.

  • Understands inventory control and proper procedures associated with inventory control.

  • Able to print and make job packets and their components.

  • Able to use pickstat screen in ERP for inventory control.

  • Able to understand production environment and prioritize daily to meet sales orders.

  • Able to watch Display inventory and create job packets at trigger points to satisfy min/max levels.

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS


  • Sitting, standing or walking for periods up to two hours at a time.

  • Reaching, feeling, handling or grasping

  • Twisting and turning.

  • ENVIRONMENTAL & WORKING CONDITIONS


  • Inside warehouse and manufacturing environment.

  • EQUIPMENT USED


  • Computer terminal and inventory system.

  • All in house printers

  • Personal protective equipment as required.

  • Required Skills


  • Effective communication – oral and written.

  • Understanding and following work rules.

  • Ability to read, write, add, subtract, multiply and divide.

  • Ability to follow all company work rules, policies, procedures and guidelines.

  • Excel, word, ERP Charts

  • Required Experience

    EDUCATION


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • MEDICAL


    Applicants will be required to submit to a drug screen after an employment offer has been made. The employment offer is contingent on receiving negative test results. The use of any tobacco product is prohibited in the manufacturing/warehouse areas and only permitted in designated areas outside the building. All associates must be fit for duty when reporting for any activities that are paid for by Flambeau Inc., Madison GA. If there is a reasonable suspicion as to an individual’s fitness for duty, that individual may be asked to submit to a drug screen or medical examination or both. Any refusal to cooperate under a reasonable suspicion situation will place the associate into corrective discipline which may include discharge.
