Basic up to £28K-£35K depending on experience, uncapped commission OTE £50-55K PLUS Excellent Benefits including

The Company & Team


The Company provide customers with a first class payroll experience through speed, accuracy, service and communication. They require an experienced person to join their sales team. The Sales team must strive to consistently achieve and exceed targets, through successful servicing of existing clients and the generation of new sales opportunities, thereby growing the business in line with the Board’s expectations. The team aim is to build on successfully developing new business streams and promoting company products.


The role:


To meet or exceed sales targets by bringing in new business deals within a defined territory, extensively through telephone and email communication; with client visits as required. Increasing business by the promotion and selling of services; advising customers on the most suitable payroll structure for the needs of their operatives; and cross-selling the group’s products including factoring deals, as appropriate.


Main Responsibilities


  • Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer contact towards achieving agreed business aims and targets

  • Accurately log all sales activity on the CRM database, in a timely manner.

  • Identify potential markets and prospects.

  • Integrate personal sales efforts with other organised marketing activities, eg, product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing.

  • Respond to and follow up all sales enquiries; timely handling of enquiries within 24 hours.

  • Meet new prospects face to face where appropriate.

  • Maintenance of all important Company documents and records, kept secure and up to date, using approved Database.

  • Adhere to agreed Service Level Agreements both internally and externally to greatly improve the customer service provided.

  • Adhere to Company policies and procedures.

Person Specification


  • First class sales skills with a proven ability to meet and exceed targets by means of telephone and face to face methods.

  • Ability to work well with time pressures in a constantly changing environment.

  • Motivated and results driven.

  • Good time management, organisational and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and empathetic skills.

  • Focused on delivering a high level of customer service.

  • Knowledge of P.A.Y.E. and NIC is preferred.

  • Experience of working within the recruitment industry or previous umbrella payroll experience is desirable.

  • Good working knowledge of Maths and being fluent written and spoken English is required.

  • Accurate data management skills.

  • A desire to be a good representative of the Company at all times.

  • Flexible outlook and team player.

  • IT Literate, proficient in using MS Office, Outlook and sales CRM systems.
