SECTION III: JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES

Conducts screenings to assess appropriate fit to the Evidence Based Programs.
Conduct MST assessment in accordance with the MST model.
Engages primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
Implements a problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, and outcome review and strategy revision procedure using the MST Analytic Process.
Maintains MST Quality Assurance procedures, including TAM collection, Clinician Development Plan, and Program Implementation Review process.
Maintain clear, concise and timely documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer, supervisory and consultant review and feedback, and that demonstrate compliance with the 9 MST Principles and the MST Analytic Process. Timeliness includes entering notes within 72 hours of service, completing weeklies and monthlies according to MST Procedures, and completing requesting outcome tracking calls.
Collaborate with all relevant systems and key participants within each system to ensure their buy-in and cooperation throughout MST treatment.
Provides direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with MST principles and practices including participating in 24/7 on-call for MST families.
Must consistently meet program unit requirements.
Maintains a caseload of 4 to 6 families.
Participate in all MST training, supervision and consultation activities.
Provides peer support to team members, including allowing co-workers to observe treatment sessions.
*Performs all other duties as assigned


SECTION IV: JOB QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/EXPERIENCE:


Must be at least 21 years of age. Requires a Master’s degree in a Behavioral Health related field.


SPECIAL EQUIPMENT/SKILLS:


General computer skills


POPULATION SERVED:


Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the consumers served in the department.

SECTION V: JOB SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS


PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE


Will obtain and maintain adherence to the MST Model per MST Institute Therapist Adherence Measures.


Requires attendance to Quarterly MST Booster Trainings


Must maintain current CPR/First Aid and CPI Certification.


Must maintain current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.


Must maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license and current personal auto liability insurance.


Must have reliable personal transportation.


WORK ENVIRONMENT, SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND HAZARDS:


Must be able to provide non-violent physical intervention.


Must be willing and able to videotape and/or audiotape.


Due to MST Model requirements, MST Therapists are not permitted to hold secondary employment.


Includes non-traditional work hours including some evenings and occasional weekends.


Work is conducted primarily in families’ homes resulting in possible exposure to allergens including pets and cigarette smoke.


Requires a significant amount of driving, covering a multiple county area.


Requires out of state travel to initial 5-day MST program orientation and training.

Communicates with the consumers and families, medical staff, therapists, and other departmental management, community organizations, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.

Actively participates in the Quality Assurance Plan of TBH by identifying, notifying and participating in determining and implementing resolutions. Assures that problems are addressed by the appropriate personnel AND that standards are met and that quality is obtained and maintained.


WORK ENVIRONMENT, SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND HAZARDS:


Works in office and consumers’ homes as well as throughout Touchstone, its premises and in the community.


Moves intermittently during working hours.


Is subject to frequent interruptions.


Attends and participates in continuing educational programs


Hazards include risk of exposure to communicable disease.
