Graduation from high school and 1 year experience in high volume customer service/cashiering operations required. Must possess a valid Florida’s Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Previous recreation experience preferred.
EMERGENCY DECLARATION STATUS:
Code 3: Non-essential employees will not be required to work during a declared emergency but may be required to work during an undeclared emergency or in the aftermath of an event associated with a declared emergency. On an incident by incident basis, the employee’s Department Head will make the determination when the employee will be required to work and if they are re-assigned based on the needs of the City.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB:
Under general supervision, performs technical clerical work assisting customers with service inquiries and complaints. Work is performed within established guidelines. Tact, courtesy and firmness are required in dealing with customers and perspective customers. Reports to assigned Supervisor.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists prospective customers at the front desk/counter.
Operates the telephone system.
Enters customer information into the computer.
Assists customers via the telephone, or by written correspondence, regarding inquiries on general information, etc.
May prepare work orders for field service.
May maintain customer service database.
Inputs, tracks and closes service requests.
Opens and processes incoming mail; which may include processing payments.
Scans documents into document imaging system.
Works closely with all employees in the assigned Department, assisting them in their filing needs.
Screens files for outdated and/or duplicate material and prepare documents for destruction or transmittal to archives. May be responsible for maintaining and updating the system for archiving departmental records.
Communicates with customers regarding any schedule information relative to projects which are pending and/or in-process.
Makes follow-up calls to citizens with up-to-date information regarding service requests.
Files, answers the phone, type’s correspondence and performs clerical work.

Performs other work as required.
