Responsibilities:
As a member of the team at Broadcom Corporation, you will be responsible for understanding design timing intent, constraints development, synthesis and ensuring design meets performance, power and area goals.
In this role you will:
Work closely with the design team during constraint development, synthesis and with the physical design team during implementation phase.
Participate in block and chip level implementation, developing and executing synthesis, STA and power analysis flows.
Work with many cross functional team members and have the opportunity to enhance the design methodology.
Requirements:
– Typically requires a BSEE/CE degree and 12 years of experience or MSEE/CE degree and 9 years of experience or a PhD and 6 years of experience
– Hands-on experience in timing constraint development and Synthesis using tools like Design Compiler is a must
– Strong expertise in flow and infrastructure development for synthesis of block and SOC level is required
– Excellent knowledge of Static Timing Analysis (STA) tools like Primetime and Timing Closure methodology development and implementation is required
– Should be knowledgeable in physical design activities to interact with the physical design team
– Strong collaboration with RTL design team, understanding of Verilog and ability to drive design intent closure is required
– Good understanding of DFT flow is a plus
– Strong analytic and problem solving skills
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
