Currently we are searching for a Principal Engineer who has a strong background in CMOS device physics and advanced semiconductor process integration knowledge.
The candidate must have the ability to interact with both wafer foundries and internal organizations (Central Engineering, BU’s, and Operations) to establish technology requirements and specifications, develop customized design rules and devices, resolve technical issues related to design rule errors, devices, variability, performance, reliability, and manufacturability, execute to qualify the technology to meet QA requirements, and transfer to manufacturing teams prior to product ramp up.
Job description:
• Evaluate leading-edge CMOS technologies; define technology requirements and specifications
• Work with external foundry partners to drive technology development and qualification efforts to meet BRCM specifications and schedules
• Work with internal organizations and foundry partners to develop, test, and qualify customized devices; develop and implement appropriate test structures to verify manufacturability and for process monitoring.
• Support manufacturing team as needed with yield enhancement and continuous improvement activities
Job Requirements
• Ph.D. in EE or related field with 7 years experience
• Extensive hands on experience in leading edge CMOS FinFET and HKMG process
• Strong background of advanced (16/14nm and below) CMOS process integration development, including FEOL, MEOL, and BEOL processes
• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing issues, tradeoffs, and yield improvement activities
• Prior experience managing or interacting with external foundries, and qualifying new technologies for production
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong data analysis ability
• Familiarity with circuit design techniques and tradeoffs
