SMMS is now accepting applications for Mail Inserters to work at home. New hires would begin work assignments Mid-September. Reliable transportation is a must. Local candidates preferred (Calvert, St. Mary’s, Charles Counties).


  • You would need to be available Monday through Friday to pick up and drop off work assignments between the hours of 8am and noon.

  • You would pick up work assignment, includes all materials to do the job.

  • You would then take work home and complete it.

  • You would bring back the next day and drop off assignments and pick up new assignment.

The pay is biweekly and is paid by the piece. Each job pays differently. Examples of work that one would do: stuff a toothbrush into an envelope and seal, affix a peel and stick label, insert letters, sort mail, rubber band bundles of mail. We do what machines can’t do.
