Job Title: Central Services Aide
Job Objective
- Order, maintain, distribute and charge cost of supplies in most efficient and cost-effective manner as directed by the Central Supply Manager. Responds promptly& professionally to all staff and residents to create a positive impression of thedepartment and St. Camillus.
Due to a retirement, St. Camillus, a premiere retirement community and a Journal Sentinel 2015 Top Workplace, has an opening for a highly organized individual who can work in a fast paced environment as a central supply aide.
This person will order, maintain, distribute and charge the cost of supplies in an efficient manner. He/she will perform periodic inventory counts in both the central supply area and remote inventory locations on the campus. The central supply aide must follow established procedures for cleaning, sterilizing, assembling and storing medical supplies and equipment, and maintain overall cleanliness in the central supply area.
The ideal candidate will be a high school graduate or equivalent with at least one year experience in inventory management. Experience in a health care environment is preferred.
In addition, the person should have the following skills:
- Minimum of two years inventory control experience
- one year health care experience, preferred
- Minimum of 2 year experience with barcode scanning for inventory control
- working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft office applications
- familiarity with retrieving and placing orders online and retrieving information froman inventory management system
- familiarity with LEAN process improvement/Six Sigma
- good verbal communication
- ability to work with minimum supervision
- flexibility to adjust schedule to meet department needs.
This is a full time position working 80 hours every two weeks from 8:00am – 4:30pm. Starting rate of pay is $14.05–$16.55.
