We are looking for bright, motivated, innovative, and hardworking engineers to join Broadcom’s industry-leading Switch line of business. You will be part of the top-notch chip architecture team and work closely with various product engineering and marketing teams to model, evaluate and define next-generation features for Broadcom’s network switching devices. You will be challenged and gain valuable experience towards enhancing a successful career in Switch Architecture.
The candidate will be part of Infrastructure and Networking team at Broadcom. He/she will focus on algorithm modeling and simulation using C++, various modeling frameworks and homegrown models at both device and network level, depending on the situation. He/she will work on highly technically challenged tasks in different phases of product development. The successful candidate will learn additional technical skills (languages, frameworks) as well as algorithms on the job. Position does not involve travel.
Job Requirements
• Currently pursuing Bachelors or Masters degree in CS, EE or CompE.
• Experience with modeling and simulation.
• Strong coding (preferably C++) and analytical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Other desirable experience:
• Familiarity with one or more scripting languages
• Knowledge of networking transport layer protocols and data center network architecture
