Package: £18,000 (OTE 30K) plus company benefits

Our client is one of the South’s leading tiling retailers with 19 locations across the south and south east of England. With a marketing strategy of ‘we won’t be beaten on price’ they are a hugely successful retailer, having consistently increased incremental turnover and profitability in a recently challenging retail environment. They have continued to expand the business and now boast retail presence across London, Berkshire, Hampshire, Sussex, Kent and Buckinghamshire.
Their success has been down to their staff. Their recruitment strategy has always been about attracting candidates who have the right approach to retailing within the tiling industry. This means offering the highest level of customer service and being able to cater for the huge range of custom which visits the store on a daily business; whether that be families looking for ideas for kitchens and bathrooms or trade customers wanting to be told about the new ranges over a cup of tea.
It is down to this huge success that they are now looking to attract a highly skilled Assistant Manager for their store in High Wycombe
The key responsibility of this role is to assist and support the development of store strategy, focusing on sales, KPI’s and excellent customer service.
Assistant Manager – Key Responsibilities:
- Set the example of excellent customer service, product knowledge, whilst always meeting or exceed both customer and company expectations at all times.
- Actively observing the sales and customer service of the store team, offering feedback, mentoring and coaching when required.
- Implementing store strategy to maximise sales, KPI’s, Targets and Profitability supporting company policy and procedures.
- Assisting the Store manager in creating an action plan to ensure budget/targets are achieved/exceeded.
- Take responsibility for Store operations in the Store Managers absence.
- Undertake other duties as required by the Store Manager
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Have extensive experience in a Target driven / KPis focused environment, holding a senior Advisor, Supervisor or Assistant Manager role.
- Have an impressive track record of exceptional customer service and be sales driven
- Live within a commutable distance to the store
- Have the capability to lead a team, and be inspirational to colleagues
- Have a good understanding of IT (Ideally Microsoft Word, Excel or similar)
- Communicate eloquently, demonstrating a good level of English.
