The National Lottery may well be one of the UK’s biggest brands, but Camelot is a comparatively small organisation. Essentially we are an SME in all but our turnover, with average weekly sales of around £130 million, which resulted in 13/14 Financial year annual sales of £6.7 billion.
The Team:
The HR function is responsible for developing and implementing Camelot’s People Strategy. The driver for all aspects of HR is to enable a values led culture which is Life Changing for all our employees!
The HR Administrator role reports to the Senior HR Business Partner and is part of the HR Busness Partnering team that supports and enables the business to meet its strategic plans and vision.
Working alongside a team, the HR Adminstrator supports a number of key initiatives that supports the employee life cycle processes.
The purpose of this position:
- Coordinate the new starter, leaver and transfer processes, raising the relevant paperwork and inputting the details into SAP.
- Administer PHI, Sickness, Leave, Grievance and Disciplinary processes, updating records, producing reports and correspondence.
- Record and update employee and payroll details e.g. payments, deductions, etc, into SAP.
- Support HR Consultaitons in managing occupational health, rehabilitation and PHI referrals.
- Produce standard reports from SAP and conduct basic data analysis.
- Coordinate Camelot’s vetting process ensuring that all stakeholders (employees, contractors, third parties) who require vetting or re-vetting, are identified and processed.
- Provide 1st line support to Camelot employees responding to standard HR, Payroll and Vetting queries and fielding more complex queries and issues raised by the business, to the correct HR colleague.
- Provide guidance and manage queries regarding standard HR processes and procedures across the employee life-cycle such as reward, performance management, payroll, disciplinary, on-boarding, Ts&Cs, learning and development, leavers and recruitment, etc.
Who are you?
- Have you started your career in HR and looking for your next move or perhaps you have recently graduated and looking for experience in the HR field.
- System knowledge, SAP is desirable
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, outlook, to analyse data, produce letters, reports, spreadsheets and presentations.
- Previous experience in an HR Administrator role, or equivalent higher level academic or professional qualification.
- A strong desire to learn more in HR and be part of a great team.
