Responsible for maintaining customer-centered support while performing inventory and warehousing activities necessary to meet safety, cost, quality, and delivery goals. Responsible for performing accurate inventory transactions during the receiving, warehousing, kitting, and delivery processes. This position will perform a wide variety of logistics duties which include receiving, unloading, counting, expediting, stocking, scheduling, cycle counting, kitting, troubleshooting, staging, packing, shipping, filing, calculating, inspecting, and various administrative and data management functions. Must coordinate and interact directly with both internal and external customers of all levels when kitting, delivering, and addressing quality issues on parts. Maintain forklift certification for loading and unloading of material in the receiving areas. Utilizing the computer to perform inventory transactions for receipt and location changes on all parts.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
1. Receive Parts and document shortages
a. Unload engine and/or parts from truck and move to New Engine Production (NEP) storage area.
b. Unpack engine and/or parts from over case boxes and place in staging area to be kitted
c. Inventory engines and/or parts and develop engine shortage list
d. Fax invoices to PHX to receive parts into McPac as required
e. Unpack parts and bin per EMOT or immediate build EMOT on bread cart
f. Inventory and document kit shortages per EMOT kit sheets.
g. Identify initial shortages and communicate to Materials Planner.
h. Coordinate EMOT issues or changes with the ME
2. Kit engines
a. Build Engine Kits per EMOT onto bread carts. Ensure build sheets/part certifications remain with appropriate parts.
b. Roll bread carts to the shop floor as directed by Quality Inspector, ME, or Program Manager.
3. Resolve parts shortages
a. Receive parts and update shortage list.
b. Provide parts shortage lists to Materials Planner in Phoenix. Follow-up to ensure issues are resolved.
c. Pull parts as required for mechanics, Quality Inspector, ME, or Program Manager
4. Transport parts – Incoming and Outgoing
a. Operate forklift to move pallets, heavy parts, recuperator skid, and engines.
b. Move heavy parts using pallet jack.
c. Ship hazmat parts.
d. Prepare parts for shipment (include purge and foam at R&O).
e. Drop ship parts and pick up drop shipment from R&O as required.
f. Track shipments.
g. Package and transport dunnage as required.
h. Package and ship ITR’ed parts to PHX
5. Ship engines
a. Escort truck from/to gate.
b. Load engines onto truck using forklift
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and 4 years of related experience, such as shipping/receiving and/or kitting, warehouse experience
Must possess valid state drivers license
Forklift certification required
U.S citizen
Additional Qualifications:
Basic computer and data input experience
Comprehension of turbine engine components and operation in a Six Sigma environment
Strong customer focus with the ability to represent Honeywell in a professional, capable manner
Demonstrate good verbal/written communication skills and competent PC skills with the ability to manage data accurately
Ability to properly lift cartons and hardware up to 50lbs.
Moderate knowledge of receiving, warehousing, shipping and kitting, plus basic concepts of supply chain management
Must be self-motivated with sense of urgency and meticulous attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities based on business need
Proven Team Commitment
Willingness to work necessary overtime and flexible shift schedules during peak demand periods
Strong team interaction and communication skills, excellent at creating a positive work environment
SAP/MRP system experience
Previous customer service experience
SAP Power User
