We have an exciting new position for a Office Supervisor to work for a company based in Watford.


The applicant must be able to work independently, manage time effectively and prioritise their workload as they will need to organise and supervise all of the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of an office. You must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a range of people including customers, clients and other departments.


Our client is looking for someone with good financial and numerical skills with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and database packages in particular Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook


Office Supervisor activities:-
Meet and greet all visitors to Head Office, and manage associated Health & Safety procedures
Managing Signing In/Out log for members of team, ensuring this is correctly filled out at the start and end of each day
Actively managing time sheets for temporary staff and purchase forms for staff members
Handling energy contracts, negotiating contract renewal rates
Managing cleaning requirements for office, sourcing cleaners if required
Assist in the office as needed, including office lunches
Maintaining stationery orders for entire office, actively keeping up to date on supply levels and general office up-keep


Customer Service activities:-
Handling a high volume of daily incoming calls and emails from customers
Screening calls and emails for Directors
Dealing with customer complaints and online reviews for the company and the products
Provide on-line chat facility to customers and maintain this actively throughout the day
Attending to customers visiting the on-site showroom
Processing customer returns, to action refunds and exchanges/credit notes where applicable
Sending letters/emails to customers and clients where necessary


Taking orders from customers over the phone, via on-line chat service, post and emails
Maintaining Amazon and eBay accounts, dealing with incoming orders and emails/reviews

Methodical worker
Knowledge and use of Microsoft excel & word to a reasonably high standard
Good team player and worker
Good, or developable IT administration skills


Salary 18,000 – 25,000
