Customer Service Representative - City of Raleigh - Raleigh, NC





Assists citizens with payments, transactions, sales, and answering general questions regarding City services.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Files data, personnel information and monitoring reports.

  • Schedules training rooms and their calendars through Microsoft Outlook.

  • Orders and maintains office supplies and assists in arraigning office equipment maintenance.

  • Processes reports summarizing data, activities and tasks as needed.

  • Provides standard information to the public.

  • Assists with general office duties and processing mail as needed.

  • Answers telephone inquiries and transfers calls to proper locations.

  • Provides access to the facility for contractors, consultants, vendors, and other staff.

  • Enters data, performs analytics, presents data and compiles summaries.

  • Receives checks and money orders for various sales, fees, and reimbursements.

  • Makes bank deposits and maintains records.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


Typical Qualifications
Education


High school diploma (or GED). Some college preferred.


Experience


At least 1 year of relevant experience is required. Must also have experience in handling money. Applicants may substitute additional relevant education for the required experience.


Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:


Valid driver’s license.


Computer Skills


To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing software. Knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, and Intelex.
