Human Resource Clerk
The Human Resource Clerk will processes employee contracts in Banner, and support
director in the daily activities of the office.
Essential Job Duties
- Process paperwork for adjunct, overload, temporary, and student hires for accuracy
and process in Banner ; resolve errors as necessary.
- Serve as primary Banner data manager for Human Resources.
- Create and maintain all employee files; to include management of active and terminated
employee files.
- Enter purchase orders for the department in the SyQuest system.
- Maintain PeopleAdmin recruitment software and serve as primary contact for applicants.
- Process and maintain files for Form I-9.
- Maintain EEOC Voluntary information files.
- Prepare monthly new hire reporting for state and TBR.
- Notify campus constituents of staffing changes (new hires, terminations, etc.)
- Process daily mail for department.
- Serve as front office contact for telephones and greeting employees and applicants.
- Assist Benefit Coordinator and Director of Human Resources.
- Assist with Benefit Fairs and other activities of the Human Resources office.
- Work cooperatively with other Human Resources office employees.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent and one year of office experience; Certified Administrative
Professional certification preferred.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and public relations communication skills; ability to effectively
communicate using written and verbal skills.
- Ability to perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication,
and division.
- Reasoning ability required in decision making, advising and assisting personnel and
public, applying relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations and performing
various tasks.
- Office administration, customer service, time management, organizational, personnel
management and scheduling skills required. Must be able to exercise ethics and maintain
confidentiality.
- Working conditions are that of a normal working office environment. Lifting of 10-15
pound on a daily basis, constant computer work, standing, and sitting for long periods
is required.
Starting Annualized Rate of Pay: $25,460
