Job Description
Working on the next generation ARM based high performance server class product development. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work on pre and post-si validation of memory sub-system, and interact with application engineering team to solve customer issues. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for bring-up, feature validation and debug of the the entire memory sub-system to enable successful product development for the multi-node, multi-CPU, multi-threaded high performance processors.
Responsibilities:-
• Perform bring-up and post-si validation of the memory sub-system comprising of north bridge, ternary caches and global coherency units of ARM core based multi-core processors.
• Setup/develop the post-silicon validation infrastructure for validation of the cache-coherency across multiple ARM cores/nodes.
• Understand architecture/micro-architecture of the block/s to be validated and develop and execute post-si test plans for the same.
• Own and debug failures in silicon bring-up to root-cause problems.
• Work closely with Logic designers of the blocks being validated for test plan development, execution and debug.
• Work closely with Application Engineering teams to resolve customer issues in a time critical environment.
Qualifications Required
• Typically requires a BS degree and 12 years of experience, or an MS degree and 9 years of experience or a PhD and 6 years of experience or equivalent.
• BSEE or MSEE (preferred) or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of the cache coherency protocols.
• Pre and/or post-si experience in verifying memory sub-system units like north bridge, caches, coherency units etc.
• Strong programming background in C/Assembly languages.
• Knowledge of unix/linux environment and scripting (perl/python).
• Self-motivated team player with excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
