Our client, a leader in the oil and gas chemical industry, is actively seeking an energetic team player with a positive attitude and reliable nature to provide administrative and clerical support to their production team on a contract-to-hire basis.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day efficient operation of the production team.
- Answer phones and transfer to the appropriate staff member.
- Take and distribute accurate messages.
- Monitor incoming emails and answer or forward as required.
- Fax, scan and copy documents.
- Maintain inventory and order materials as needed, including raw chemicals.
- Update and maintain spreadsheets.
- Type documents, reports and correspondence.
- Co-ordinate and organize appointments and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Possess excellent time-management skills and be well organized, a self-starter, and display a professional demeanor with emphasis on confidentiality, compliance, and responsibilities.
- Ability to follow through and complete all primary job duties and responsibilities on time.
- Closely monitor and communicate progress to management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Utilize strong problem solving skills.
- Possess strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Access, PowerPoint, and Word), with particular strength in Excel .
- Knowledge of Great Plains accounting software is a plus.
